Parent Training at ABA of North Texas

At ABA of North Texas, parent training is a vital part of your child’s ABA services. We partner with parents and caregivers to ensure skills learned in therapy are carried over into everyday life—at home, in the community, and across routines that matter most to your family.

What Parent Training Means for Our Families

Parent training is provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is individualized to your child’s treatment plan. Sessions focus on practical, easy-to-use strategies that help you support progress outside of direct therapy hours.

What You’ll Learn

Parents and caregivers may be coached on how to:

  • Understand the purpose of behaviors and respond consistently
  • Use positive reinforcement effectively
  • Reduce challenging behaviors in an ethical, supportive way
  • Build communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Apply strategies during real routines (meals, transitions, bedtime, outings)

Why ABA of North Texas Emphasizes Parent Training

We know that children make the greatest progress when everyone is using the same strategies. Parent training helps:

  • Generalize skills beyond the clinic setting
  • Increase long-term success and independence
  • Reduce family stress and improve confidence
  • Strengthen collaboration between families and our clinical team

How Training Is Delivered

Parent training at ABA of North Texas may include:

  • One-on-one coaching with your BCBA
