Registered Behavioral Therapist
What we are looking for
– Behavior technicians implement ABA programs in center, school, community, and home. Behavior technicians will do the 40 hr RBT course and work alongside the BCBA for successful program implementation. The position is an hourly, non-exempt, part-time, or full-time position. RESPONSIBILITIES.
– Adhere to policies and procedures, be professional, and follow the BACB ethical code.
– Collect data and provide regular written or verbal progress on treatment goals.
– Teach clients with Autism communication, social, self-help skills in a 1:1 setting.
– Communicate clearly and effectively (orally or written) with clients, families, collegues, and supervisors.
– Maintain appropriate social distancing, safety, and protective hygiene practices on and off the job.
– Participate in meetings including monthly staff training.
– Maintain HIPAA compliance at all times, across all settings.
– Maintain billable requirements.
– Have prior experience in ABA and / or working with children with autism spectrum disorder or other developmental disorders / delays.
– Are sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population of children.
– Have the ability to remain calm and neutral in challenging situations with clients.
– Have a reliable means of transportation, a valid driver’s license, and insurance.
– Have the ability to stand and stay on your feet for prolonged periods of time and bend, kneel, crouch, and lift weight of up to 50 pounds.
– Have a current and valid CPR certification.
– Have successful background clearance, driving record check, and reference check.
– Have a high school diploma or equivalent; however, some college experience or a college degree is preferred.
